Our Faith
/ Our Faith

The Orthodox Christian Church is the original Church established by Jesus Christ and made manifest on the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles and gave birth to the Church more than two thousand years ago. From that moment, the faith has been preserved and handed down through Holy Tradition—the living continuity of worship, doctrine, Scripture, and spiritual life passed from generation to generation under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Orthodoxy is not simply a set of beliefs or historical claims; it is a way of life rooted in prayer, fasting, sacramental worship, and the daily struggle to love God and neighbor. Through its ancient liturgy, ascetic practices, and emphasis on transformation of the heart, Orthodox Christianity invites believers to participate fully in the life of Christ, striving not only to know the truth, but to live it.
