Our 2010 Chetnik was held on Saturday, August 28, the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, in conjunction with a Balote Tournament.

From the Sharon Herald (08/29/10):

By Monica Pryts— Members young and old of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Hermitage, gathered Saturday to celebrate their annual picnic with traditional food, music and bocce.

The picnic happened to land on the same day as the Feast of the Dormition, meaning the “falling asleep of the Mother of God,” said parishioner Bob Vucenovic, president of the church’s Movement of Serbian Chetniks Ravne Gore, the group that organizes the picnic

From the June 15, 2009 Sharon Herald:

Djuro Klipa plays the accordian for revelers at the annual St. George Serbian Orthodox Picnic in Hermitage. A celebration of Serbian culture and cuisine, Sunday’s picnic was sponsored by the church and the Chetniks Memorial Fund Committee.
